Pushing the boundaries of engineering innovation
In the fast-paced and high-pressure construction industry, prioritising employee wellbeing isn’t just important, it’s vital. At Phoenix ME, we understand the unique challenges our teams face both on-site and off-site, and we are fully committed to supporting their mental, physical, and emotional health every day. People are at the core of everything we do, and by fostering a culture of care and growth, we are creating an environment where our people can truly thrive.
To ensure wellbeing remains a key focus, we have developed a dedicated in-house network of Mental Health First Aiders, Mental Health Champions, and advisors who are trained to identify early signs of mental health challenges and offer guidance when needed. This network provides vital support across both on-site and off-site teams, ensuring no one feels isolated.
When one of us faces a challenge, it can impact the whole team. That’s why small actions, like checking in on someone or offering support when it’s needed, should never be underestimated. It takes very little, but it can make a world of difference. Together, we create a workplace where everyone feels safe, valued, and supported. This is how we move forwardstronger, healthier, and more connected as a team.

Our wellbeing initiatives are designed to promote holistic health, offering practical support and creating a positive working environment where everyone can thrive. Below are some of the key initiatives we have in place to ensure the ongoing wellbeing of our employees:
With the continuing issues surrounding mental health in construction and the continuation of our mental health programme, we engaged with The Mens Coach Ryan Parke.
Ryan is a male mental health expert who delivers talks that combine science, stories and strategies with a simple evidence-based framework to improve mental health in the men you care about.
The popular demand and positive feedback, Ryan has now hosted five workshops with more planned for 2025!
At Phoenix ME, we’re committed to supporting the health and wellbeing of our workforce through accessible, proactive initiatives.
In a male-dominated industry, encouraging regular health checks is essential. As part of our wellbeing programme, we offer on-site prostate cancer blood tests, making it easy for staff to prioritise their health with minimal disruption.
These quick and simple PSA tests can detect issues early – often before symptoms appear. With strong uptake across the business, this initiative continues to support long-term wellbeing.
Thank you to CHAPS for delivering this important service.
At Phoenix ME, we believe that maintaining good health starts with access to the right support at the right time. Through our partnership Employee Assistance Programme, all employees have access to confidential health checks, including guidance on lifestyle factors like diet, sleep, and exercise.
These health checks are designed to help individuals assess their overall wellbeing and identify early signs of physical or mental health concerns. Employees can easily access support tools, track their health, and speak with qualified advisors, all in confidence.
Making health information easy to access helps us build a healthier, more informed workforce, and encourages everyone to take ownership of their wellbeing.
