National Recognition for Apprenticeships
Three Phoenix ME electrical apprentices, including Mustafa Ahmed and Michael Harris, attended 10 Downing Street last week for a briefing recognising the contribution apprentices make to the UK’s skills pipeline. Invited through New City College, the group joined apprentices from across the country for a tour of No. 9 and No. 10 before taking part in a Q&A with Prime Minister Keir Starmer. The discussion focused on the future of vocational training, the importance of technical skills, and the experiences of young people entering the construction sector.
