Laboratory Conversion in a Live Environment
Phoenix ME were appointed to deliver the full mechanical and electrical services fit-out for the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) at their Keppel Street campus in Central London. The works involved converting Levels 2 and 3 of the existing North Courtyard Building from office use into advanced laboratory facilities. This was delivered within a live operational research building, requiring precise coordination to maintain day-to-day functionality.
The project also included new central services to accommodate the change in building use, and additional capacity for future flexibility. Modifications and extensions were completed to existing plant and equipment zones, alongside the installation of new systems within a newly formed rooftop gantry.
