Electrical Infrastructure and CAT A Installation

Phoenix ME played a key role in the full refurbishment and extension of the Woolgate Exchange building on Basinghall Street, situated next to the Guildhall in the heart of the City of London. The existing building comprises eight floors of CAT A offices, a roof plantroom, three basement plant levels and ground floor retail units. Phoenix began early involvement with Mace during the PCSA in late 2022 and early 2023, later securing the Electrical Infrastructure, CAT A and Security Installation packages. Physical works commenced in August 2023, with project completion planned for September 2024.

Integrated Security Systems and Strong Team Collaboration

The project included the installation of new HV transformers, LV switchgear, LV generator and oil tanks, all of which were carefully lowered via a soft spot in the loading bay and tracked across the B3 level to their final positions.

Phoenix ME also partnered with Phoenix Trescray to deliver and commission a suite of security and communication systems including access control, CCTV, intruder alarms and intercom systems—ensuring full integration and modernisation across the site.
